  • Content should be organised into logical sections.
  • Sections should be able to stand alone.
  • In most cases, a conversation style of writing works best.
  • The active voice is much more effective than the passive.
  • Writing requires to be in the correct tone and style for your typical reader.
  • Plain language should be used. Marketese should be avoided.
  • Readers require to know what actions to take and why.
  • Benefits to the reader are paramount.
  • Readers’ problems require to be solved and their questions answered.
